As the most appreciated drink in India, tea
has really become an essential component of the lives of its masses. Beyond
doubt, tea symbolises the culture of India. India is praised for being the
largest tea exporter in
the world.
There are three chief tea-producing areas
in India. These are Darjeeling, Assam and Nilgiris.
Assam is one of the leading tea producers
in the world. What’s more, marvellously trimmed tea bushes offer a fantasy of
green carpeting stretching over an extensively large area. The tea produced
here has a perfumed, fresh, flowery and peppery nature.
Darjeeling tea has an exceptional savour
and fragrance that is preferred all over the world, considered as the
“champagne of teas”, its creation is little less as compared to other regions.
For tourists it presents stunning and pure natural ambience apart from the
exquisite glimpses of tea gardens.
The meaning of the term Nilgiris is the
Blue Mountains. It extends across the south-western tip of India at an
elevation of 4500 feet from sea level. Tea touring in this place is very
comforting and soothing as the breezy atmosphere, heartening greenery and
benign climate are the characteristics of Nilgiri, which entices the tourists.
In Nilgiri, tea is produced all over the year because of its placid and damp
tropical atmosphere. Nilgiri tea is gentle in taste with rich and fresh liquor.
The other areas in which tea is grown
include Travancore, Terai, Manipur, Kangra, Dooars, Dehradoon and Cachar.Owing
to all these areas in tea exporter India across the globe.
