Comparing Darjeeling Tea and Yellow Tea

India is popular in exporting yellow tea as well as Darjeeling tea. On one hand Darjeeling tea is famous all over the world, on the other hand, Yellow tea is gathering popularity in the West, as more and more tea lovers request it from their tea exporters.

When properly brewed Darjeeling tea yields thin-bodied, light-colored liquor with a floral aroma. The flavor also displays a tinge of astringent tannic characteristics, and a musky spiciness often referred to by tea connoisseurs as “muscatel.” A sweet cooling after taste is to be felt in the mouth, after having it.

Yellow tea is not well known because it’s rare and hard to get. It is only grown in China. It is rare even in China, which is why one probably may have never heard of it. Real Yellow label Tea is actually yellow in appearance and is made specifically to remove the grassy or vegetal taste of the green teas that some people can find unpleasant.   It is a variety of tea that comes from the Camellia Sinensis. And it’s oxidized a little more than green tea but not as much as Oolong tea. Yellow tea tastes more subtle with all the benefits of Green Tea but sweeter than green tea.
