Black tea is one of the most well-liked tea by the people worldwide. It is one of the type of tea processed from the tea plant, that is, the Camellia sinensis.
The process of production of tea begins with The Flush And The Pluck step. In general, a unique and delicate flavor is produced by the first flush. That being said, the flavor produced by the black tea leaves also mainly depends on the terrain. The pluck indicates the part of the tea plant that has been plucked.
After this, it is due to the way of manufacturing of the black tea leaves that makes them own their own unique character in comparison to the green tea leaves and other varieties of tea leaves.
The next step is of withering which makes the tea leaves all set for oxidation. Extra moisture is removed from the tea leaves in this step.
In the rolling stage, the tea leaves are prepared for the oxidation. It crunches the tea leaves so that the internal juices spread uniformly over the whole leaf.
The oxidation is the most important step during which the catechins in the tea leaves are oxidized which leads to multiple chemical reactions that gives the black tea the flavor that we relish.
In the drying and cooling phase, the moisture content of the tea leaves is reduced.
After this, the black tea is sorted and any dust and fannings is removed. Then it is all ready for consumption. It is properly packed as loose tea or in bags using tea bags packaging. Hence, you can drink black tea and see how it keeps you away from a number of health problems.
